Location of St. George’s Church in Djumiti

In the nineteenth century, st. George’s Church operated in the second Djumiti. According to the metric records, the brothers Egnate and Jacob Gulua served here, as well as a well-known publicist, the proto-priest Samson Todua.

The clergy were also involved in secular Affairs.

There was also an old village cemetery near the Church.

By the decision of the chekists and the Bolsheviks, the Church was destroyed, and the clergy were forbidden any service.
