We continue our acquaintance with the episodes of the “Chkhorotsky History” . We have published a separate list of churches and clergy that have yet to be processed by other scholars.
Near the center of the village and the old cemetery, there are fragments of a three-nave basilica built in the nineteenth century (according to another version in the late Middle Ages), in which priest Bendeliani served.
Ascension Church in the village of Zumi Opened in 2015. Status: Active. Three-nave basilica. Vasil Pirtskhelava was born and buried in Zumi
Gogoleti Church is a single-nave Basilica. The main part belongs to the nineteenth century, but according to local residents, the temple was built in the eleventh-twelfth century.
The church is new and built in 2006. The church is of the hall type It is built of well-smoothed square stone. The church has an entrance from the west and south, one window – from the west, south and north. The church is currently in operation.
The Church of the Savior in Akhuti is known as Legersame. It dates back to the nineteenth century, but some scholars believe it dates back to the ninth century.
